Sauna Wood Boutique was founded by Peter J. Santolalla Sr. and Peter Santolalla Jr., a father-and-son team whose passion for woodworking has shaped two generations of craftsmanship. That passion led us into the world of saunas, and in 2022 we founded Saunas by Design, LLC, which quickly grew into a leader in the sauna industry — known for premium custom installations built on an uncompromising standard for materials and craft. As our work deepened, so did our understanding of what truly separates an exceptional sauna from an ordinary one: the wood itself. That realization led naturally to this new venture. Sauna Wood Boutique was born from a simple goal — to bring the finest sauna timbers from around the world directly to local vendors and end users, with the same standard of quality and care that has defined our work from the beginning. From Nordic spruce to thermally modified hardwoods, every species we offer is selected, sourced, and supplied with one purpose: helping builders and homeowners create saunas that perform beautifully and last for generations.
